No Bake Chocolate Cake Pop

Cake pops are fun and festive desserts to have for any occasion! They are colorful and portioned out so your guests can grab and go. Follow my recipe for a moist chocolate cake pop. This no bake cake pop is so easy to make and is delicious! You will only need 4 ingredients to make my chocolate cake pop recipe.

The secret to why my cake pop recipe is so quick to make is because we will be using chocolate graham crackers. The use of chocolate graham crackers allows us to be a no bake dessert because it is already fully baked. You will be turning the graham crackers into crumbs by using a food processor, quality powder blender or smashing the crackers in a zip lock bag. The crumbs act as the main dough component to this recipe.

I love making cake pops for parties or as gifts. They are quick to make and easy to decorate, but always look like you invested a lot of time into making them. Everyone enjoys a cute looking dessert and having a festive dessert table always elevates the overall decoration of the party. To make cake pops as gifts, you can tie little bow ties on the stick or place a bundle of cake pops together in a cup or basket.

Chocolate Cake Pops

My cake pop will be decorated laying on aluminum foil on top of a baking tray, and I’ll leave it at the laying position as I wait for the chocolate to harden. I recommend layering aluminum foil or parchment paper on top of your baking tray to easily remove the hardened chocolate on the cake pop. If you do not lay a layer of aluminum foil or parchment paper to the baking tray, the chocolate may stick to the baking tray and break your cake pop when you try to remove it. I find letting your cake pop lay down when decorating is the best way to decorate cake pops because when I have the cake pop upright during decorating, the chocolate or glaze will always run down the cake pop stick. This makes my cake pop look messy.

Chocolate Cake Pop Recipe

No Bake Chocolate Cake Pop

Serving Size = nine 2” diameter cake pop

Ingredients:

1 ½ package of chocolate graham cracker

1 6oz package of cream cheese, at room temperature

3 tablespoons of white granulated sugar

1 ¼ cup of chocolate chips (I used blue chocolate chip; you can use white chocolate chips and food coloring to create your desired color)

9 cake pop stick

Step 1:

Use a food processor to turn your 1 ½ package of chocolate graham cracker into crumbs. If you do not have a food processor you can place your graham crackers into a zip lock bag and crush the graham crackers into crumbs.

Step 2:

In a large bowl, add all the chocolate graham cracker crumbs and 3 tablespoons of sugar together. Mix well.

Step 3:

Add a package of 6oz cream cheese to your graham cracker and sugar mixture. Using your hands or a hand mixer, mix ingredients together until everything is combined and smooth. It should look like chocolate dough.

Step 4:

Scoop out 2 tablespoons of dough and roll it into a ball using your hands. This should make 2” diameter cake pops. Insert a cake pop stick to each dough.

Step 5:

Heat up your chocolate in the microwave for about 1 minute. Stir the melted chocolate until chocolate is smooth. Add food coloring to your desired color if you’re using white chocolate chips. I found blue chocolate chips at the grocery store, so I did not have to add food coloring to my chocolate. If you’re using milk chocolate chips or dark chocolate chips, you should not add food coloring.

Step 6:

Pickup your dough by picking up the stick end of the cake pop and dip the dough into your chocolate. Make sure the dough is fully covered in chocolate. Place your chocolate covered cake pop onto a lined baking pan.

Step 7:

Add decorations to your cake pop, such as sprinkles. Allow the cake pop to rest at room temperature for 20 minutes before serving to ensure that the chocolate coating is fully set, or you can put your cake pops in the fridge for 10 minutes to quickly harden the chocolate.
