It is great as a summertime dessert because it has that fresh fruity flavor which is perfect during the summer heat. Peach cobbler is super easy to make. You’ll wonder why you haven’t made them at home until now! My peach cobbler recipe uses canned peaches instead of fresh peaches to save you time in the kitchen. Canned peaches for peach cobbler will taste just as delicious, I promise!
Peach cobbler originated from early American settlers who wanted to make a simple and quick version of pie. Personally, I enjoy eating peach cobbler over peach pies! I love the texture of cobblers, and it is so much easier to make than pies. With pies, you must make the crust, and pie crusts are really a make it or break it ingredient for pies. For cobblers, it is a no brainier dessert! All you need to do is throw the ingredients together and pop it in the oven to bake. You’ll be in and out of the kitchen fast with this easy peach cobbler recipe!
I like using canned peaches for my peach cobbler because it is guaranteed to be sweet and speeds up the process of making peach cobbler. I like knowing that every bite of my peach cobbler to have peaches that are sweet and soft. Fresh peaches are great, but you will need to prep and cook the peaches. Each fresh peach has a different firmness from each other so timing it just right when you cook the peaches can be stressful to some bakers. That is why I love using canned peaches! Using canned peaches makes this a foolproof peach cobbler recipe! Anyone can make this!
You can pair peach cobbler with ice cream or whipped cream when you serve to make it the ultimate dessert!
