Follow my recipe for a basic classic deviled eggs appetizer. You can easily elevate this deviled eggs recipe by adding toppings such as crunchy bacon and chopped chives.
Deviled eggs is a great recipe for beginners in the kitchen. It is creamy and packed with flavor in bite sized portions. A plus to this appetizer is that it is such a cheap appetizer to make! A dozen eggs, which should cost less than $2, can make 24 deviled eggs. It is such an affordable appetizer to make!
My recipe calls for the use of relish because I love the hint of tart and crunch. Relish and pickles are ingredients southerns love to have in their deviled eggs. If you prefer to skip adding relish, that is completely fine. I would recommend adding a squeeze of lemon or vinegar to add that tartness if you skip relish; however, I always encourage people to adjust recipes to their preferred taste.
