Cook Time 25 minutes
Course Side Dish
Cuisine American

Ingredients

  • 1 large sweet potato
  • cup coconut flour can use all-purpose
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for spiciness

Instructions

  • Prep the oven by preheating it to 400° Fahrenheit.
  • Peel the sweet potato and cut it into sticks.
  • In a large bowl, add your cut sweet potato and soak in cold water for 45 mins. Soaking the sweet potatoes is a process to rinse off the starch and makes the fries crispy.
  • After 45 mins of soaking, drain the sweet potatoes. In a large bowl, combine your sweet potato, coconut flour, garlic powder, salt, black pepper. If you like to add spiciness to your fries, add in cayenne pepper. Combine everything together with your hands until sweet potatoes are coated with seasoning and flour.
  • Line a baking tray with non-stick cooking spray or aluminum foil, or parchment paper. Add each sliced and coated sweet potato on the baking tray.
  • Bake in your preheated oven for 20-25 mins. Remove from the oven after it is finished baking to allow the fries to cool down.
