Pumpkin Pie for Dogs, Thanksgiving Dog Treat Recipe
Thanksgiving is time for family to unite and join together for a Thanksgiving feast. Dogs are family too, so why not make them Thanksgiving dog treats to enjoy with us! This recipe is a dog safe Pumpkin Pie recipe for dogs!
Ingredients
Crust
- ¾ cup oat flour
- 1 large egg
Pumpkin Pie Filling
- 1 can 15oz pumpkin puree
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 large egg
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Prep oven by preheating it to 350° Fahrenheit.
- In a bowl, mix ¾ cups of oat flour and 1 large egg. If you do not have oat flour, you can use a food processor to grind quick oats into flour. Kneed the dough a few times and to get it into a ball. Separate the dough into two equal balls. Press each ball of dough down into your baking pan to make your crust. Bake the crust for 8 mins.
- While your crust is baking, we will make the pumpkin pie filling. In a large bowl, combine one 15oz can of pumpkin puree, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 large egg, and ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon. Use an electric hand mixer to mix well. Once mixture is smooth, evenly pour the pumpkin pie filing into each of your baking pans with crust. Bake for 30 mins. Let cool before serving to your dog.
