Chocolate Buttercream Frosting, Buttercream Frosting Recipe

Chocolate buttercream frosting is a classic that everyone should know how to make at home. Kids and adults are all fans of creamy chocolate frosting!
You can use this fudgy chocolate frosting for cakes or cupcakes or even as filling for your desserts.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup unsalted at room temperature
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cup confectioners sugar
  • ¼ cup milk

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, cream your butter, cocoa and vanilla together with a hand mixer or stand mixer.
  • Slowly add confectioners sugar in one cup at a time into your creamed mixture. Add in milk 1 tablespoon at at time when frosting gets too thick and mixer is clumping frosting. Continue to mix frosting until smooth and at desired texture. If frosting is not stiff enough to you liking, add additional 1/4 cup of confectioners sugar at a time. 
    Make sure your cake or cupcake are cooled down before frosting or filling them.
