Fried Rice for Dog Recipe, Dog Friendly Fried Rice

Spoil your dog with dog friendly fried rice! The ingredients used to make this fried rice are all safe for dogs to eat. Dogs love a good meal, so why not make them some delicious, fried rice meal for dog? Watch your dog gobble this fried rice treat down! The recipe is a base for any pup friendly fried rice and I encourage you to customize the filling to what you like!

I have two dogs; one is a miniature poodle and the other is a cairn terrier mix. I came up with the idea to make a dog friendly fried rice recipe after my dogs were drooling while I was eating my Chinese take-out fried rice lunch. They stared at me the whole time while I was eating, and as much as I wanted to share my food with them, I knew restaurant fried rice has ingredients that are not safe for dogs, such as garlic and onion. This inspired me to come up with a very basic dog friendly Chinese takeout fried rice recipe!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of cooked long white grain rice (best if cooked the day before and refrigerated overnight)
  • 1/4 lb of lean ground turkey meat
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup of frozen mixed vegetables

Step 1

Turn your stove on to medium high heat, and use a large nonstick cooking pan to cook this recipe.

Step 2

Put 3 cups of your rice into the cooking pan. For best fried rice results, make sure that your rice is cold – this allows the grains to separate. Using freshly cooked or hot cooked rice makes the grains stick together. Saute the rice for about 3-5 minutes to warm up the rice.

Step 3

Push the rice to one side of the pan. Add in your ground turkey meat. Saute the ground turkey meat until it is cooked and browned. Once the meat is fully cooked, mix the rice and meat together.

Step 4

Pull the rice and meat to the sides of the pan to create a hole in the middle of the pan (making the rice and meat into a “donut shape” in the pan). Crack 2 eggs into the middle of the hole. Scramble the eggs to cook it. Once the eggs are cooked you can mix the eggs with the rice and meat.

I’ve earned the title foodie among my friends and family because I’m the most obsessed with food among them. I enjoy eating food, taking pictures of food, and making food! I’m always looking for hacks and quick ways to make delicious food that doesn’t take all day.

I created this recipe blog to share with you easy simple recipes that anyone can make, and will get you in and out of the kitchen fast.
